2017 CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Champion Nick Rowe was thrilled to learn of an invitation to test with Brad Jones Racing as reward for his championship season.

Speaking at the Formula 4 awards evening on the Gold Coast, the West Australian was emotional as he expressed his gratitude on claiming his first Australian Championship.

“I’ve waited this moment my whole life. I’ve come second about four or five times in Australian Championships, and to finally win one… it’s one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever had in my life. I was pretty emotional,” Rowe said.

In a video message played to the 100-strong crowd at the awards evening, Jones extended Rowe an invitation to test a BJR Commodore Supercar.

“It’s been fantastic to see Nick come up as a champion,” Jones said.

“As part of that, with the relationship BJR have with CAMS, we’ve offered an opportunity for Nick to come along and do an evaluation day for us in December. Nick, I look forward to seeing you soon.”

Rowe was stunned to learn of the opportunity to sample a current specification Supercar, and confirmed his calendar was now indeed clear to test with BJR.

“My calendar’s now clear, no matter what!” exclaimed Rowe.

“To drive one of them is going to be awesome, I can’t wait.”
