Setting The Tone At BRM

Dual-CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Champion squad Team BRM have confirmed their fifth consecutive driver for the 2018 season.

Karting graduate Zayd Tones will form part of Team BRM’s line-up, which so far includes four drivers making their national championship debut in Formula 4.

“I’m very excited to be joining the CAMS Australian Formula 4 Championship for 2018 and Team BRM,” Tones said.

“I’m lucky to be with such an amazing team.”

With six years of experience in karting under his belt, the Year 10 student from Queensland is expecting to learn even more with Formula 4 in 2018.

“My ambitions for 2018 being my first year is to be competitive, learn lots and to have lots of fun throughout the year,” Tones said.

“I have been working hard on my physical and mental fitness in the lead up to the first round. I can’t wait for my first official race!”

Tones’ arrival sets Team BRM’s driver line-up at five, with Aaron Love, Josh Smith, Lochie Hughes, and Thomas Smith recently announced as joining the team.

Team BRM anticipate confirmation of their sixth and final driver of 2018 shortly.

Meanwhile last year’s championship winning squad AGI Sport have officially confirmed two drivers, with last season’s Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Year Ryan Suhle and Jayden Ojeda signing with the Sydney based squad.

Newcomers to Formula 4 but experienced kart squad Patrizicorse also recently welcomed Jackson Walls for their 2018 campaign. With eight drivers confirmed so far, further driver announcements are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
