CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship graduates Thomas Randle and Liam Lawson have both enjoyed successful weekends in Australia and abroad.
Randle on Saturday secured his first pole position in the Super2 Series for Race 2, where he ended up finishing runner up to Paul Dumbrell
A string of consistent results helped vault Randle to third overall for the round and a healthy swag of 228 points.
2016 Formula 4 Champion Will Brown is the best placed graduate in eigth with 516 points after three rounds, followed by Jack Smith in 10th, Thomas Randle 11th, Zane Goddard 14th, and Brenton Grove 22nd.
Meanwhile in the German Formula 4 Championship in Hockenheim, last season’s Australian runner-up Liam Lawson enjoyed a string of podium results to finish 2nd in the first two races.
Sixth in the third and final reverse grid race brought a solid haul of points home for the New Zealander.
Lawson is fourth in the outright standings with 59 points.
The Super2 Series will next race at the streets of Townsville on 6–8 July, and German Formula 4 will race at the Lausitzring on May 18–20.
