Australian Jack Doohan has set the quickest time in British F4’s official test day overnight at the Croft circuit.
Despite it being testing, the times were ferociously close. The Arden-Red Bull backed driver was quickest by 0.0003 seconds over teammate Dennis Hauger.
Doohan had missed out on claiming a clean-sweep in testing, after holding the fastest time on the previous day’s test for much of the day before being bumped off by 0.0006 seconds over Ayrton Simmons.
The test sessions are in preparation of British F4’s next round, to be held this weekend at Oulton Park, where Doohan is currently placed third in the overall drivers’ standings with 101 points.
Doohan claimed his first British F4 race win last month at Thruxton, which further cemented his lead in the British F4 Rookie Cup where he leads Hauger by 33 points.
