The final round of the 2018 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship will be a historic event, with the category heading overseas for the first time.
Supporting the ITM Auckland SuperSprint round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, it will be the first appearance of FIA Formula 4 machinery on New Zealand soil.
Whilst teams will usually arrive at rounds in separate trucks, the New Zealand round will see the teams share the same transport by sea through Gibson Freight.
To accommodate the Formula 4 cars aboard the Gibson Freight containers, AGI Sport’s engineering arm were generous enough to design and manufacture vehicle lifting equipment, ramps and platforms for the championship’s fleet of cars.
After customs checks in Port Botany in New South Wales, Gibson Freight will transport the containers by sea to Auckland this week.
Gibson Freight are well acquainted with transporting race cars across the world. The company provides logistic services to the Formula One and MotoGP Australian Grands Prix, along with transporting the Supercars Championship cars to New Zealand.
The final round of the 2018 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship will take place between 2–4 November at Pukekohe.
