Victorian Antonio Astuti has confirmed his start in his home race at the season opening round of the 2019 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship at Albert Park.
With the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 only weeks away, Astuti will again partner with AGI Sport after racing for the squad in the 2018 finale in New Zealand.
“I’ve been preparing throughout the whole break for it,” Astuti said.
“I’m looking forward to making the most of it with these AGI Sport guys and that we can bring home a good result.”
Last year was Astuti’s first season in circuit racing after spending several seasons in karts, and Astuti is looking forward to racing familiar machinery again in the new year.
“I really missed it over the Christmas break. I enjoyed the races I did, travelling, and the car is awesome fun with close racing,” Astuti said.
“It’s something very different to what I was used to in karting. It took a little while to get into a good rhythm, we were working on developing my driving and figuring out where the e car should be setup at.”
Round One of the 2019 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship will support the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 from 14–17 March.
