Sergio Perez recently took the opportunity to test out the new Mexican FIA Formula 4 Mygale, which will open a new era in Mexican national motor sport and a lot of new perspectives.
30 years had passed without a single Mexican driver in Formula 1, and Perez never wants to see it like that again.
The Force India driver is pleased that the FIA Formula 4 Mygale opens the doors to more drivers in order to enable them to reach more easily the F1 and that Mexico was always represented.
“I am glad to see that Mexico is involved in this new series already whereby the youth could start their process to reach Formula 1 without leaving the country,” Perez said.
After 3 laps, Perez gets out of the car and is impressed.
He found the FIA Formula 4 Mygale really comfortable to drive, and is convinced that the new category will develop and encourage the future generation of Mexican drivers for the future.
The first race of the Mexican FIA Formula 4 Mygale Championship will start in Mexico on 1 November 2015 during the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
