Indy Time For Australian Formula 4 Champion

2015 CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Champion Jordan Lloyd is preparing for his fourth round of the USF2000 Series at Indianapolis.

Racing on the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit road course, supporting this weekend’s IndyCar Series round, Lloyd currently lies third in the standings with 78 points. Parker Thompson leads the standings with 91 points.

Fellow Australian Luke Gabin is engaged in a tight battle with Lloyd, sitting only two points ahead of Lloyd with 80 points going into the next two races at Indianapolis.

After a difficult appearance at the previous round in Alabama, Lloyd is eager to reclaim the form that saw him lead the championship at the conclusion of the opening round in Florida.

Lloyd completed a pair of sixth place finishes in both test sessions on Wednesday, with further improvements on Thursday lifting Lloyd to fourth and fifth during Thursday’s two practice sessions.

USF2000 Friday Qualifying gets underway from 11:30pm AEST tonight, followed by Race One at 3:00am on Saturday morning AEST.

The final Race Two immediately follows the IndyCar Series warmup at 2:15am Sunday morning AEST.
