Lloyd and Randle To Sample Nissan Supercar

2015 CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Champion Jordan Lloyd and runner-up Thomas Randle will sample a Nissan Altima Supercar at Winton Motor Raceway tomorrow.

Both graduates were awarded the opportunity to test a Supercar after the 2015 season finale. However with Lloyd and Randle’s racing commitments in the United States and Europe respectively throughout 2016, both drivers will finally get to share a Supercar in ideal summer conditions.

Lloyd, who has spent the majority of this year in the USF2000 Championship, recently sampled a Matt Stone Racing Motorsport Falcon FG Supercar to acclimatise to a touring car. This experience, and tomorrow’s factory Nissan test, will be Lloyd’s only experience to date in a vehicle other than an open-wheeler.

“I had a couple laps in the MSR car at Queensland Raceway three weeks ago just to start getting a feel for the weight and power,” Lloyd said.

“I am looking forward to working with the Kelly team which compete in the top of the ladder of Australian motor sport.”

Randle, who finished fourth in the 2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, is excited to add the Nissan Supercar to the list of machinery he has sampled this season – which include British Formula 3, European Formula 3, Formula V8 3.5, Toyota Racing Series, LMP3 and a British Touring Car.

Yewww! Driving the Nissan V8 Supercar tomorrow. Thanks to @formula4au and @nissan_msport for the opportunity!
